About Me

I’m Kristy:

  • Graphic designer by day
  • Bookworm / crafter / TV watcher by night
  • Adventurer on weekends
  • Dog and cat lover ALL THE TIME

I’m a Michigan-based 30-something writer, digital photographer, and graphic designer with a love for exploring the outdoors, visiting haunted places, collecting antiques, and taking on random DIY projects.

My husband and I adopted our Great Pyrenees, Patronus, from a rescue organization shortly after we got married.  I started hiking with Patronus as a “fun” way to get exercise and to teach him social skills, but we both fell in love with it pretty quickly.

After bringing Patronus along on our honeymoon to Banff National Park, then backpacking South Manitou Island with a couple of friends, I found my love for hiking and photography and decided I wanted to start blogging about it.

A couple years later we added Naga (also a Great Pyrenees) to our little family.  She fits in perfectly.

I created this blog as a way to share my adventures, tips, DIY projects, and of course, all things Great Pyrenees!
